Hijri Calendar — Privacy Policy

In short

Hijri Calendar does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no account system and no location permission.

What the app does

Hijri Calendar is an offline app published by Hidayath Studios. It calculates the Hijri date, calendar, Islamic events, prayer times and Qibla direction on your device. City coordinates are bundled in the app; your location is never read.

Stored on your device

Your language, theme, Hijri adjustment, chosen city, prayer method, reminder settings and personal notes are kept only in the app’s local storage. For the home-screen widget, the Hijri adjustment, language and the next few days’ prayer times are also stored on the device. None of this leaves your phone, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Exporting notes

If you choose “Export notes”, the app creates a JSON file and opens Android’s share sheet. Where the file goes is entirely your choice; the app does not upload it anywhere.

Permissions

Notifications (Android 13+) are used only for the optional reminders you turn on (events, fasting days, prayer times, notes). Receive-boot-completed keeps reminders and the widget working after a restart, and vibrate is used for haptics. The app does not use exact alarms. The INTERNET permission is part of the app framework; the app itself makes no network requests. Links to our website or email open in your browser or mail app.
